Patience is indeed a virtue!

With every passing day, I have come to realize that the most important trait that we Indians lack is.. PATIENCE..!
Almost in every sphere of life, we lack patience.., while driving on the roads, people behind the wheels seldom have any consideration for pedestrians.. ! In other countries, pedestrians are given the right of way.. ! On the contrary, in ours might is right! Considering the fact,  that pavements are meant for pedestrians, the pathetic uneven condition of whatever is left of the pavements is definitely not amble friendly..! Besides pavements are in most places encroached upon by roadside vendors, tea stalls etc. To top it all , the absolutely restless and impatient two wheelers resort to riding on the pavement ..at times of traffic snarls..!  So where does that leave pedestrians..?  Can they just grow wings and fly???????????? The most annoying and displeasing manner in which people express their impatience is the constant honking..! Everybody is on a clockwork and  have a time and  a place to be at, and mind you  nobody is standing in the middle of the road, or not moving their vehicles for fun! But people keep blaring horns  as if the world is going to end.! So go easy on the honking, or rather avoid it completely.
A pedestrian walking will keep moving at a reasonable pace and there is no reason for us to alarm him/her by constantly honking!

HORN NOT OK PLEASE!

My Soccer fever!

Well  it is that time of the year, -the most awaited sporting event.. World Cup football.!
As always, my loyalties as far as football goes, has  been with the Germans, right from way back in the 1990 world Cup, which was when I got hooked on to soccer..!  The image of Germany's then captain, Lothar Mattheus, kissing the world cup is still clear in my mind. Lothar by the way has captained Germany in maximum no. of matches. Germany are also currently playing to defend their title of world champions, though their opening match  with Mexico was quite dismal..!

Let's wait and watch.. ! Until then keep the ball rolling!😉😉

Dances with the Wolves!

So don't get foxed by me blog title y'all!
The wolves I am referring to here are our newly elected cabinet ministers of the Karnatka state Govt!
The oldest minister is 82 years old and his qualification SSLC,,!!!!!!!!
Are you kidding me?Another minister who has taken oath is only an 8th grade pass!
Our democracy has truly become a mockery  of several sorts ..!
These are  the dimwits, we entrust with running the affairs of the state!
While engineering graduates who do not succeed in finding jobs, have to resort to becoming  sweepers in BBMP!
Ofcourse, I am all for dignity of labour, and I believe that no work is considered menial!
But look at the irony of how these power hungry and money enslaved , school, college dropouts end up becoming ministers!

My bone of contention is that when there is a retirement age and minimum qualification for most professions why should our ministers be exempt!
Well no one has the answer I guess as this debate has been going on for years and will never cease!

Partying on Thursdays!

So yesterday , which happened to be a Thursday  we went along with a few friends to the launch event of Bangalore's biggest watering hole and apparently Asia's biggest microbrewery.. BYG BREWSKY! ( A big Thanks and hug to Sudesh for inviting us too!)
After battling the Traffic for a good 45 minutes ( Bangalore's Notorious traffic), we finally reached the sprawling , oversized locale, which was  magnificently lit with psychedelic lights  and laser beams. The area was immensely vast with cascading levels almost like a fortress and the ambience was droolworthy.
We had a few drinks , a gin cocktail with kafir lime and an ample amount of food, which for once, I was not too interested in, mainly because I was enamoured by the ambience and the grooving to the music played by an excellent band! Unfortunately we wound up early next day being a working day.. but would definitely like to visit once again maybe on a relaxed saturday afternoon or night!
Two Thumbs up for BYG BREWSKY!
