Our country supposedly the largest democracy ( parliamentary) in the world!
But our parliament members are utterly ridiculous..! Not one of them is interested in the greater purpose of serving the nation and trying to solve the multitude of problems that has thwarted the progress of our country... Inflation, illiteracy... droughts, terrorism, poverty...Unemployment..!Instead they seem to derive the ultimate pleasure in playing blame game as always and pointing fingers at each other... as was exhibited in the most embarrassing manner at the recent Lieberhan debate in Parliament....!! No..I am not gonna be politically correct/incorrect by taking sides of either the Congress or the BJP..! Both seem to be 2 sides of the same coin...Terribly disappointing...!
And now to add to this, The centre having given in to Chandrashekar Rao's demand for a seperate state of Telangana!
I totally agree with Jawaharlal Nehru " That one can't hold a nation ransom by resorting to means such as fasting, this only defeats the very purpose of democracy."
Undoubtedly uprisings would follow suite in every state and district... demanding for seperate statehood!
Gimme back my India... This is not the India I expected to come back to... from the U.S.A. few years back..!!(:

There is going to be no more India. Its 'Indias' from now on. You get to choose which one you want. Pretty soon, we'll get subscription offers, promos, and pesky telemarketing calls enticing us to join one of of the million states or the other for a small memebership fee and lots of freebies (at a small fee).
I have no understanding of the situation but your frustration resonates with me. Nice post.
